The Connect initiative has once again exceeded its goals. After surpassing its original target of $4 million and 60 percent participation last summer, volunteers set their sights on $5 million and 65 percent participation.
The Connect initiative reached the goal set at its launch in 2009 and promptly set its sights higher: 65 percent cumulative participation and $5 million in cumulative giving.
In the year since its formal launch at the University’s “Coming Back and Moving Forward” conference last October, the Connect initiative has made tremendous strides toward meeting its goals of raising $4 million and increasing participation by black alumni to 60% during the Aspire campaign.
Connect: A Black Alumni Leadership Initiative is a newly launched enterprise led by alumni to increase and enhance the involvement of self-identified black alumni in the life of the University as leaders, volunteers, and donors.
The success of the University's comprehensive fundraising campaign, Aspire: A Plan for Princeton, in securing a strong future for Princeton depended on the full involvement of all its alumni.
