Teacher. Adviser. Mentor. Professor David Spergel '82 has carried those titles for a generation of undergraduates. It’s the Princeton Way. Jared Crooks ’11 knows how special it is. “Thank you,” he says to David. “Your openness, strength, and wisdom have been fundamental to my time at Princeton.” With a science policy career in his future, Jared looks to add another title to his relationship with David: colleague.
David Spergel '82 is Charles A. Young Professor of Astronomy on the Class of 1897 Foundation, Professor of Astrophysical Sciences, and Chair of the Department of Astrophysical Sciences.
Jared Crooks ’11 was a major in the Department of Astrophysical Sciences, and is currently pursuing a Masters in Public Affairs at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.
